Father Andrei Dosoftei


Father Andrei Dosoftei is originally from Moldova region (Romania), city of Iași. The love of God made him join the Theological Seminary "St. Basil the Great" in 2002 and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "Dumitru Stăniloae" in 2007. In addition to his academic training, Father Andrei began his spiritual formation, practice and liturgical, around four churches that will be the pillars of his relation with God: Parish "Entrance Lord in Jerusalem", Vovidenia Parish, Vlădiceni Monastery and the Metropolitan Cathedral, all of them in Iaşi.

With the God will and blessings, and Mrs Anca (his wife) support, he moved to London in 2013, where he will do different jobs. On 29th June 2014 he is ordained deacon by His Eminence Bishop Joseph, Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe and on 20th September 2014 he is ordained priest by the His Excellency Bishop Ignatie Mureșanul, Auxiliary Bishop of Spain and Portugal. His first Holy Liturgy in our parish will be on 26th of October 2014. Since November 2014 he is ordained as the Aberdeen Parish priest. Since then he serves God in our Parish entrusted to him with love, hope and faith for the benefit of the congregation.
